“The payment model influences collaboration by shaping how providers bill and their productivity, but it often complicates teamwork due to varying guidelines across professions and lack of reimbursement for collaborative time. Despite these challenges, upholding patient-centered values involves advocating for patients' functional goals, working with other professionals to guide decisions, prioritizing client-centered care, and promoting value-based payment models that reward preventive and quality care rather than volume.â€
