David Livingstone Smith discusses philosophy of race on ā€˜Multiracial Family Manā€™

David Livingstone Smith, Ph.D., professor of philosophy, was the featured guest on the September 27, 2015, podcast of "Multiracial Family Man,ā€ which explores issues of race.

Smith explained the philosophy of race and explored what it is that leads humans to use race to conceive of others as sub-human. He also addressed ways to combat the injustices in the world that stem from racial prejudice.

ā€œIf we look at the injustices committed, we need people to challenge some of the beliefs that underpin those injustices, some of the beliefs about race. I donā€™t think that solves the problem, but I think it contributes to a solution,ā€ he stated.
