SNAP-Ed $10 for 4 Healthy Recipe Challenge featured on '207'

The Maine Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program-Education (SNAP-ED) was featured in the media recently for its $10 for 4 Healthy Recipe Challenge.

SNAP-Ed Obesity Prevention Coordinator Leslie Ouellette, M.S., R.D., L.D.,  appeared on WCSH6 207 to explain the challenge, which asks participants to submit ideas for budget-friendly, healthy recipes involving 10 ingredients or less that will feed a family of four. She also offered several different ingredient ideas for consumers to use in their submissions.

The contest ends on March 31, 2015, and a winner will be selected in April.
