UNE College of Arts and Sciences Dean Jeanne Hey was interviewed live on WGME after Donald Trumpā€™s August 4, 2016 campaign rally in Portland, Maine. She was asked about his claims that he could win all four of Maineā€™s electoral votes. ā€œThere is very little in either Maineā€™s voting history of the current polling or the demographics of the state that would suggest he has a good chance of taking all four electoral votes,ā€ Hey said.

Before coming to UNE, Hey served as the director of International Studies and professor of Political Science at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. A graduate of Bucknell University, she earned a Ph.D. in political science from The Ohio State University.
