Dr. Kathryn Sawicki is an Associate Clinical Professor at the Âé¶¹Ö±²¥â€™s School of Pharmacy. She is a graduate of the Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ and was a member of the class of '16. Following graduation she completed a Community Pharmacy Residency Program at Penobscot Community Health Care (PCHC). During her time as a resident at PCHC she participated in expanding the role of the clinical pharmacist into the transitions of care arena, pioneered a pharmacist-managed hepatitis C testing and treatment initiative, and helped to integrate pharmacists into medication assisted treatment and recovery programs in the greater Bangor area. 

Following her residency she continued to work as a Clinical Pharmacist imbedded in a primary care office at Brewer Medical Center in Brewer, Maine. There she focused on linking underserved patients to hepatitis C treatment and recovery programs.

Dr. Sawicki is now a clinical primary care pharmacist with MaineHealth, in Windham. In her clinical role she works with other members of the healthcare team with an emphasis on chronic disease state management, including diabetes and hypertension. Her unique role as both a clinical pharmacist and associate clinical professor allows her to combine her passion for teaching with direct patient care while advancing the role of the pharmacist. She is a mentor and preceptor to students in their fourth year, who can complete a 6 week ambulatory care Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience with Dr. Sawicki.
